A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to PROHIBIT state funds from being used for abortions.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Article 6 of Chapter 143C of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new Part to read:

"Part 4. No State Funds for Abortions.

"§ 143C-6-31. No State funds for abortions.

No State funds can be used for the performance of an abortion or for entities that perform or provide abortions."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
