A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to the natural science center of greensboro.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to The Natural Science Center of Greensboro, Inc., a nonprofit organization, the sum of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) for the 2005‑2006 fiscal year to assist the museum with Phase II of Animal Discovery, which will add live animals to the museum's interactive animal exhibits. Animal Discovery will broaden the institution's educational mission and service through vocational science, tourism expansion, economic development, and community service.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2005.
