Miscellaneous
Money
- Pages need to have lunch before arriving and checking in at the Page office in Room 1029 in the Legislative Building on Monday
- Pages should bring money for lunch each day and for miscellaneous expenses
- Pages do not need to bring large sums of money
- The General Assembly will not be responsible for the loss or theft of personal property during the pages’ stay in Raleigh. Pages should provide their own padlocks for their lockers in the Page Office.
Parking
- The General Assembly is unable to provide parking for commuting pages
- Pages may drive to Raleigh, but are discouraged from driving to and from the Legislative Building during their assigned week. In short, it is preferred that pages not drive at all during their time of service.
- Pages staying with host families will have transportation provided
- On the day of arrival and departure, pages may park in nearby visitor parking lots but fees are expensive. The nearest visitors parking lot is located at the corner of Jones and Wilmington Streets just past the Museum of History Building and across the street from State Archives.
