Each year several families are selected to host pages in their homes. A list of the Host families will be provided in each appointment package. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardian to make arrangements with a host family, or other host of their choice, prior to coming to Raleigh.
Host Families provide hospitality and supervision to the pages during their stay. There is a $100 fee, due upon arrival, which covers breakfast, dinner, and transportation for the week.
Host families require a consent form, signed by the parent(s)/guardian, for emergency health treatment from each page. A copy of the consent form will be kept on file in the Page Supervisor's Office.
Host families must have parental permission for specific types of activities e.g., spending unsupervised time at shopping centers, going to dinner and movies, driving their personal vehicles, riding with other pages or local family members or friends.
If a page must cancel his/her appointment, it is their responsibility to notify both the Page Coordinator and the host family to cancel reservations for accommodation.
