Session Law 2009-78

Session Law 2009-78, enacted as House Bill 1621 on June 11th 2009, modified the 2003 North Carolina House district plan by reconfiguring districts 16 and 18 in Pender and New Hanover counties. The change was precleared by the U.S. Justice Department under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act on September 18th, 2009. This modified NC House plan was used for the 2010 elections. All items listed below are based on the General Assembly's 2003 redistricting database.
