The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

On February 17, 2009, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) was signed into law by President Obama. The ARRA provides funds to help stabilize state and local government budgets and to invest in state and local programs intended to help the country recover from the current economic crisis.
North Carolina is estimated to receive approximately $6.1 billion in new, temporary revenue from the federal government under the ARRA.
The North Carolina Estimated Share of 2009 Federal Stimulus Funds Under ARRA provides a list of federal funds by source (as identified as of April 30, 2009) that North Carolina may receive under ARRA.
