A SENATE RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of Franklin R. Allen to the board of agriculture.

Whereas, the provisions of G.S. 106‑2 require that appointees to the Board of Agriculture be confirmed by the North Carolina Senate; and

Whereas, a vacancy occurred on August 22, 2017, when Tommy Burleson resigned; and

Whereas, the Governor has presented to the presiding officer of the Senate the name of his appointee; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Franklin R. Allen of Montgomery County as the forestry representative to the Board of Agriculture for a term to expire September 1, 2019, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
