A SENATE RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the governor's appointments to the board of trustees of the teachers' and state EmploYees' retirement system.

Whereas, the provisions of G.S. 135‑6 require that appointees to the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System be confirmed by the North Carolina Senate; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officer of the Senate the names of his appointees; Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

SECTION 1.  The appointments of Margaret C. Reader of Wake County, active State employee, and Joshua J. Smith of Iredell County to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System for terms expiring on March 31, 2021, are confirmed.

SECTION 2.  The appointment of Jeffery S. Winstead of Wake County, retired State employee, to the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System for a term expiring on June 30, 2021, is confirmed.

SECTION 3.  This resolution is effective upon adoption.
