A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for gang prevention and improved gang reporting.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Governor's Crime Commission the sum of ten million dollars ($10,000,000) for the 2011-2012 fiscal year to be used to provide grants for gang prevention and improved gang reporting.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2011.
