A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to restore funding for the teaching fellows program.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of three million four hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($3,475,000) in recurring funds for the 2012-2013 fiscal year to restore funding for the 2012-2013 class and subsequent classes of the Teaching Fellows Program.

SECTION 2.  Section 1.38 of S.L. 2011-266 is repealed.

SECTION 3.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2012.
