A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to change the date that members of the wilson county board of education take office.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Subsection (f) of Section 4 of Chapter 921, Session Laws of 1973, as rewritten by Section 1 of Chapter 236 of the 1987 Session Laws, reads as rewritten:

"(f)       Terms of office of the Wilson County Board of Education begin on the second Monday in January  December following their election."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
