A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT providing that A list of e-mail addresses of persons subscribing to e-mail lists kept by the city of charlotte SHALL BE OPEN TO PUBLIC INSPEction but THE city IS not required to provide A COPY OF THE LIST, and PROVIDING THAT THE city may use thE list only for the purposes that it was subscribed to.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.   Section 3 of S.L. 2010-83 reads as rewritten:

"SECTION 3.  This act applies only to Wake County, the City ofCities of Charlotte and Raleigh, and the Towns of Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Zebulon, and to Yadkin County."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
