A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to require members of sanitary districts established under Part 2 of article 2 of chapter 130a of the general statutes to file a statement of economic interest.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Part 2 of Article 2 of Chapter 130A of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:

"§ 130A-49.5.  Sanitary district members to file SEI.

All members of each sanitary district shall file a statement of economic interest with the clerk of superior court. The statement of economic interest shall be filed in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of Chapter 138A of the General Statutes and on the form prescribed by the State Ethics Commission."

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2011.
