A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to exercise the power of the general assembly under SECTION 1 OF ARTICLE VII of the north carolina constitution to fix the boundaries of cities and give such powers to cities as it deems advisable by withdrawing the delegation of authority to the city of fayetteville to make a certain annexation.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Annexation Ordinance No. 2008-10-511, adopted by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville on October 20, 2008, entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO EXTEND THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE OF NORTH CAROLINA, UNDER THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY CHAPTER 160A, ARTICLE 4A, PART 3 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES OF NORTH CAROLINA," described in the ordinances as "Gate Four" and "Gates Four," is repealed.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective from and after October 20, 2008.
