A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the north carolina special olympics.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in nonrecurring funds for each fiscal year of the 2011-2013 biennium.  These funds shall be allocated to support the North Carolina Special Olympics and may be used for programming opportunities and activities, sports uniforms and equipment, transportation, sports facility usage, meals during events, and hotel accommodations for overnight events.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2011.
