A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to prohibit televisions for death row inmates.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Chapter 148 of the General Statutes is amended by adding a new section to read:

"§ 148-23.3. Televisions prohibited for death row inmates.

The Division of Adult Correction of the Department of Correction shall not provide televisions to any inmates serving sentences on death row."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
