A JOINT RESOLUTION authorizing the legislative research commission to study issues relating to whether to consolidate some state agencies and departments to achieve increased efficiency and cost savings.

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

SECTION 1.  The Legislative Research Commission may study issues relating to whether some State agencies and departments can be consolidated to achieve increased efficiency and cost savings.

SECTION 2.  The Legislative Research Commission may make its final report to the 2011 General Assembly no later than January 15, 2011.

SECTION 3.  The Legislative Services Officer shall allocate funds appropriated to the General Assembly for the expenditures of the Legislative Services Commission in conducting this study.

SECTION 4.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.
