A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO PROVIDE PERMANENT FUNDS FOR THE PUBLIC HEALTH AUTHORITY OF CABARRUS COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1. Of the net proceeds of the tax to be distributed to Cabarrus County under G.S. 105-472 for taxes levied under Article 39 of Chapter 105 of the General Statutes, the Secretary shall distribute each month to the Public Health Authority of Cabarrus County an amount equal to the product of multiplying two dollars and twenty-two cents ($2.22) by the number of residents within the county, as determined by the most recent certified population estimate for Cabarrus County from the Office of State Budget and Management.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
