A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to implement and evaluate credit education programs in the public schools.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The State Board of Education shall use these funds to implement and evaluate the credit education programs in the public schools in each of the following county school administrative units: Bertie, Caldwell, Chatham, Columbus, Davie, Forsyth, Granville, Lenoir, and Transylvania.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2010.
