HOUSE BILL 1683

RATIFIED BILL

AN ACT TO DELAY THE SUNSET OF AN ACT PERTAINING TO THE DISCIPLINE AND HOMEBOUND INSTRUCTION OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES as recommended by the joint legislative education oversight committee.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  Section 5 of S.L. 2008-90 reads as rewritten:

"SECTION 5. Section 3 of this act becomes effective January 1, 2009, and expires March 1, 2011. June 1, 2013. The remainder of this act is effective when it becomes law."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 28^th day of June, 2010.
