A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to forbid contracting as lottery retailers businesses who primarily cash checks, drafts, or money orders.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. G.S. 18C-141 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:
"(d) The Commission may not contract with as a lottery game retailer any establishment where the majority of its business, not including lottery sales, is the cashing of checks, drafts, or money orders."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
