A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR A STUDY OF THE STATE HEALTH PLAN TO IDENTIFY AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO ADDRESS ISSUES AFFECTING THE PLAN'S LONG-TERM VIABILITY.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The Legislative Services Office of the North Carolina General Assembly shall allocate funds appropriated to the General Assembly for the 2009‑2011 fiscal biennium to conduct a comprehensive study of the administration and benefits of the State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees. The purpose of the study is to identify and make recommendations to address issues affecting the Plan's long‑term viability.
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2009.
