A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds to manchester CDC, Inc., to develop cultural and recreational activities in the manchester township of cumberland county, to appropriate funds for the hollywood heights community Club in cumberland county, to appropriate funds to cumberland county for the 71st township civic improvement association, and to appropriate funds to the tiffany pines community outreach center.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Manchester CDC, Inc., a nonprofit organization, the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the 2006-2007 fiscal year to develop cultural and recreational activities in the Manchester Township of Cumberland County.

SECTION 2.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Hollywood Heights Community Club, Incorporated, a nonprofit organization, the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the 2006-2007 fiscal year for community association improvements.

SECTION 3.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Cumberland County the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for the 2006-2007 fiscal year to be allocated to the 71st Township Civic Improvement Association for civic, cultural, and senior citizen activities.

SECTION 4.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to Tiffany Pines Community Outreach Center, a nonprofit organization, the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for the 2006-2007 fiscal year for use in providing bicycles and computers to disadvantaged youth in the City of Fayetteville and surrounding areas. The operator of this Center is known as the "Bicycle Man."

SECTION 5.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2006.
