OPEN: The Legislative Building is open to the public year round. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Legislative Building is a five domed marble structure that occupies a city block and houses the Senate and House of Representatives Chambers as well as members and staff offices and committee rooms. The LOB houses members and staff offices, the Appropriations and Finance committee rooms, and other committee rooms.
PARKING: Spaces designated for persons with disabilities are in three nearby visitor’s parking areas: Visitors lot #1 is located at the corner of Jones Street and Wilmington Street. Visitors lot #2 is located in the 300 block of North Salisbury Street and can also be accessed from the 300 block of North McDowell Street. Visitors lot #3 is located at the corner of Edenton and McDowell Streets. Rates are charged by the hour and the parking lots are controlled by the Department of Administration.

RESTROOMS: Accessible restrooms on all floors in both buildings. Ask at front lobby of Legislative Building for locations.

Auxiliary aids and services (interpreters, electric cart, assistive listening devices, etc.) can be provided if requested 72 hrs. in advance by calling 919-733-7044.
