SENATE BILL 1200
AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SPINDALE TO ALLOW THE TOWN TO FOLLOW THE GENERAL LAW ON SCHEDULING TOWN BOARD MEETINGS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 3.6 of the Charter of the Town of Spindale, being Chapter 378 of the 1975 Session Laws, reads as rewritten:
"Sec. 3.6. Meetings of the board. The regular meetings
of the mayor and board of commissioners shall be on the first and third
Monday in each month, held in accordance with G.S. 160A-71(a), but
the board may hold special meetings upon call by the mayor or two members of
the board, upon one day's notice, and may hold adjourned meetings from time to
time in the discretion of the board."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 10th day of July, 2006.
