AN ACT TO EXEMPT FROM THE PUBLIC BIDDING LAWS THE VILLAGE OF PINEHURST IN THE RESTORATION OF THE FAIR BARN AND COLLEGE OF THE ALBEMARLE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTIPURPOSE FACILITY IN THE CITY OF ELIZABETH CITY.

 

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

SECTION 1.(a)  The provisions of Article 8 of Chapter 143 of the General Statutes do not apply to the Fair Barn Restoration Project in the Village of Pinehurst.

SECTION 1.(b)  This section applies only to the Village of Pinehurst.

SECTION 2.(a)  The Board of Trustees of College of the Albemarle may contract for the construction of a multipurpose facility in the City of Elizabeth City without being subject to the provisions of Article 8 of Chapter 143 of the General Statutes.

SECTION 2.(b)  This section applies only to the Board of Trustees of College of the Albemarle in the City of Elizabeth City.

SECTION 3.  This act is effective when it becomes law and expires January 1, 2006.
