HOUSE BILL 1286

 

 

AN ACT TO MODIFY THE EXEMPTION FROM THE "MASS GATHERINGS" STATUTE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 130A-252(b), as amended by Section 1 of S.L. 1999-3, reads as rewritten:

"(b)      The provisions of this Part do not apply to a permanent stadiums stadium with an adjacent campgrounds campground that host hosts an annual events attracting event that has, within the previous five years, attracted crowds in excess of 70,000 people. The term 'stadium' includes speedways and dragways."

Section 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 2nd day of June, 1999.
