HOUSE BILL 479

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE CITY OF REIDSVILLE MAY REDUCE WATER RATES OF SENIOR CITIZENS BY ONE DOLLAR PER MONTH.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 160A-314 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:

"(a1)    A schedule of rents, rates, fees, and charges for water service established by a city may provide a one dollar ($1.00) per month discount for individual customers who are 65 years of age or over."

Sec. 2.  This act applies only to the City of Reidsville.

Sec. 3.  This act is effective upon ratification.
