HOUSE BILL 367

 

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 48, SESSION LAWS OF 1963, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL STORES IN THE TOWN OF ROSEBORO.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. Section 6 of Chapter 48, Session Laws of 1963, as amended by Chapter 600, Session Laws of 1967 and Chapter 86, Session Laws of 1969, is hereby further amended by rewriting paragraph (a) of said Chapter 600, Session Laws of 1967 to read as follows:

"(a)      The governing body of the Town of Roseboro in its discretion, may appropriate ten percent (10%) of said net proceeds, or two thousand dollars ($2,000), whichever is less, to public schools located within the corporate limits of the Town of Roseboro to be used for any educational purpose, program or activity which the governing body of the Town of Roseboro, in its sole discretion, may select; the principal of each recipient school(s) to be notified each year by the Town Clerk upon adoption of the Town's Budget Ordinance, the amount, if any appropriated to said school."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
