AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION AND SALE BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE REVISED AND UPDATED EDITION OF THE 1913 NORTH CAROLINA MANUAL ENTITLED NORTH CAROLINA GOVERNMENT, 1585‑1974: A NARRATIVE AND STATISTICAL HISTORY.

Whereas, under authorized provisions there is being printed an updated and revised edition of the 1913 North Carolina Manual entitled North Carolina Government, 1585-1974: A Narrative and Statistical History; Now, therefore,

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  That one copy of said volume shall be furnished each person who served as a member in either the 1971, 1973 or 1975 sessions of the North Carolina General Assembly, and that the Secretary of State shall distribute such number of copies of said volume to such other individuals and institutions as is set forth in the table below:

Sec. 2.  The Secretary of State is authorized and directed to sell the remaining volumes at the publishing cost—typesetting and printing and binding—plus tax and postage, with the proceeds from such sales to be deposited in a special fund for the sole purpose of reprinting said volume or supplements thereto.

Sec. 3.  That all laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
