HOUSE BILL 783

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 115-25 AUTHORIZING A PERSON WHO TEACHES IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO SERVE ON THE CONCORD CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1. G.S. 115-25 is amended by adding the following proviso at the end of the first paragraph:

"Provided, that one member of the Concord City Board of Education may be a teacher employed by a county or city board of education other than the Concord City Board of Education."

Sec. 2. This act shall become effective upon ratification and shall become effective retroactively to May 1, 1971, and shall expire on November 30, 1975.
