SENATE BILL 970

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GUILFORD COUNTY TO CONVEY ANY LANDS OWNED BY GUILFORD COUNTY TO THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA WITH OR WITHOUT CONSIDERATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STATE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Guilford is hereby authorized to convey any lands owned by Guilford County to the State of North Carolina with or without consideration for the sole purpose of construction and operation of a State school for the deaf.

Sec. 2. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
