AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 835 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1947 CONCERNING THE DIVISION OF PROFITS FROM LIQUOR STORES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 2(d) of Chapter 835 of the Session Laws of 1947 is hereby amended by adding to the end thereof a proviso as follows:

"Provided, however, if the Charlotte Park and Recreation Commission ceases to exist and is replaced by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Park and Recreation Commission, a joint City-County Commission, then the obligation imposed herein shall terminate and the City is thereafter authorized to pay said five per cent (5%) to the joint City-County Commission for expenditures for parks and playgrounds;".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
