AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 20-7(b), G.S. 20-7(i) AND G.S. 20-7(m) PROVIDING BETTER IDENTIFICATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATORS BY REQUIRING PHOTOGRAPHS OF LICENSEES ON OPERATOR'S OR CHAUFFEUR'S LICENSES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 20-7(i), as same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume 1C of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by striking out in lines 1 and 2 thereof the words and figures "two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "three dollars and twenty-five cents ($3.25)"; and by striking out in line 3 thereof the words and figures "four dollars ($4.00)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "four dollars and seventy-five cents ($4.75)".

Sec. 2.  G.S. 20-7(m), as same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume 1C of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the word "licensee" and immediately before the word "and" in line 2 thereof the following: "and color photograph of the licensee of a size approved by the Commissioner."

Sec. 3.  G.S. 20-7(f), as same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume 1C of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by inserting on line 15 thereof, after the word "examination" and before the word "ordinarily", the words "and color photograph".

Sec. 4.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 5.  This Act shall become effective on and after January 1, 1968.
