AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF PASQUOTANK COUNTY TO TRANSFER TO THE CITY OF ELIZABETH CITY THE INTEREST OF SAID COUNTY IN THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT OPERATION.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. In order to promote a more orderly and efficient operation of a Municipal Airport at the United States Coast Guard Air Base, the Board of Commissioners of Pasquotank County is hereby authorized to relinquish its entire responsibility and authority over said airport operation to the City of Elizabeth City and to transfer to said city its entire right, title and interest in and to the funds arising from the recent sale at the price of ninety-four thousand five hundred fifty dollars ($94,550.00) of certain real property, known as the airport property, which was jointly owned by the County of Pasquotank and the City of Elizabeth City, which said funds are held by the Pasquotank County-Elizabeth City Airport Commission for the construction and installation of a Municipal Airport Facility on U. S. Coast Guard Air Base property.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
