HOUSE BILL 782

 

 

AN ACT PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS ON OR ACROSS ANY HIGHWAY IN ALLEGHANY COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm from, on or across any highway or public road or highway right of way or public road right of way in Alleghany County without the written permission of the owners of the land abutting the highway or road where the shooting occurs. Any violation of this Act shall be a midemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00), or imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or both, in the discretion of the court.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
