HOUSE BILL 108

 

 

AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 176 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1955, AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GUILFORD COUNTY TO ASSIST IN FURNISHING FIRE PROTECTION TO COMMUNITIES OUTSIDE OF CITIES AND TOWNS OF SAID COUNTY.

 

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Lines four through eight, inclusive, of Section 1 of Chapter 176 of the 1955 Session Laws are hereby rewritten to read as follows:

"The Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the provisions of this Act shall not appropriate from tax and nontax revenues and expend an amount which, when added to the sums due to Guilford County from outstanding loans for rural fire protection, shall exceed the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00)."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
