AN ACT TO FIX THE COMPENSATION OF THE SHERIFF, CLERK OF SUPERIOR COURT, REGISTER OF DEEDS, JUDGE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER'S COURT AND THE SOLICITOR OF THE COUNTY RECORDER'S COURT OF RUTHERFORD COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Sheriff of Rutherford County shall receive as compensation for services rendered in such capacity an annual salary of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00), payable monthly out of the general funds of said county.

Sec. 2. The Clerk of Superior Court of said county shall receive as compensation for services rendered in such capacity an annual salary of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00), payable monthly out of the general funds of said county.

Sec. 3. The Register of Deeds of said county shall receive as compensation for services rendered in such capacity an annual salary of six thousand five hundred fifty dollars ($6,550.00), payable monthly out of the general funds of said county.

Sec. 4. The Judge of the County Recorder's Court of said county shall receive as compensation for services rendered in such capacity an annual salary of five thousand five hundred dollars ($5,500.00), payable monthly out of the general fund of said county.

Sec. 5. The Solicitor of the County Recorder's Court of said county shall receive as compensation for services rendered in such capacity an annual salary of five thousand two hundred dollars ($5,200.00), payable monthly out of the general fund of said county.

Sec. 6. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 7. This Act shall be in full force and effect upon its ratification and shall be effective retroactively to February 1, 1967.
