SENATE BILL 181

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE TIME OF HOLDING ELECTIONS BY THE NORTH CAROLINA COTTON PROMOTION ASSOCIATION, INC., UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 50 OF CHAPTER 106 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 106-559, as the same appears in the 1966 Replacement Volume 3A of the General Statutes, is amended by adding at the end of said Section the following:

"Provided, that notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter, the North Carolina Cotton Promotion Association, Inc., in 1967 shall hold a referendum, pursuant to law, for the years 1969 and 1970. Thereafter, the North Carolina Cotton Promotion Association, Inc. shall conduct either triennial or sexennial referendums as provided by law."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
