AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DUPLIN COUNTY TO EXPEND SURPLUS GENERAL FUNDS AND NON-TAX REVENUE FUNDS FOR FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT ON THE NORTHEAST RIVER.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Duplin County is hereby authorized and empowered to expend, in its discretion, surplus general funds and surplus nontax revenue funds which may be on hand for flood control purposes on the Northeast River in Duplin County. The Board of Commissioners is authorized to enter into contracts and agreements with the Federal Government, or its agencies, in the expenditure of said funds.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
