SENATE BILL 431

AN ACT TO AMEND G. S. 90-248 SO AS TO INCREASE TO $1,000 THE MAXIMUM ANNUAL COMPENSATION WHICH MAY BE FIXED FOR THE SECRETARY OF THE NORTH CAROLINA STATE BOARD OF OPTICIANS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. G. S. 90-248, as the same appears in the 1965 Replacement Volume of the General Statutes, is hereby amended by striking out the words and figures "three hundred dollars ($300.00) per annum" in the last two lines and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per annum".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect upon its ratification.
