AN ACT TO FIX THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CHATHAM COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Each member of the Board of County Commissioners of Chatham County, other than the chairman, shall be paid out of the general fund of the county, a per diem of twenty dollars ($20.00), and the chairman shall be paid a per diem of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each day in which such member or chairman is engaged in the discharge of the duties of his office.

Sec. 2. Each member of the Board of County Commissioners of Chatham County, including the chairman, shall receive in addition to the compensation in Section 1 above a travel allowance of seven cents (7¢) per mile to and from their homes for each session of such board they may attend.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
