AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 1108, SESSION LAWS OF 1963 CONCERNING THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Chapter 1108, Session Laws of 1963, is amended by adding a new Section, to be designated "Sec. 2.1" to read as follows:

"Sec. 2.1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 2 above, at any election, primary, general, special or otherwise, pertaining to the Orange County Board of Education, the qualified voters of Orange County residing outside, and not inside, the territorial limits of Orange County constituting the expanded Chapel Hill School Administrative Unit, may be entitled to vote."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after July 1, 1965.
