HOUSE BILL 1004

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 787 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1953 RELATING TO THE ABOLISHMENT OF TAXES DUE BUNCOMBE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ASHEVILLE SO AS TO MAKE THE SAME APPLICABLE TO ALL OTHER MUNICIPALITIES IN SAID COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 787 of the Session Laws of 1953 is amended by striking out wherever the same appear the word and figures "1929 and 1930", and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "1931 to 1943, inclusive".

Sec. 2. Section 2 of Chapter 787 of the Session Laws of 1953 is amended by striking out wherever the same appear the word and figures "1929 and 1930", and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "1931 to 1943, inclusive".

Sec. 3. Section 3 of Chapter 787 of the Session Laws of 1953 is rewritten to read as follows:

"This Act shall apply to all the municipalities located in Buncombe County."

Sec. 4. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 5. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
