SENATE BILL 17

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 67-29, RELATING TO THE USE OF GUIDE DOGS ACCOMPANYING BLIND PERSONS IN PUBLIC CONVEYANCES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Article 4 of Chapter 67 of the General Statutes (Replacement Volume, 1960) is amended by striking out of said title the words, "'Seeing-Eye'", and inserting in lieu thereof the words, "Guide Dogs".

Sec. 2.  G.S. 67-29 is amended by striking out the words, "'seeing-eye dog,'" as the same appears after the letter "a" and before the word "or" in the first line of said Section, and inserting in lieu thereof the words, "guide dog,".

Sec. 3.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
