HOUSE BILL 886

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 678 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1951, RELATING TO THE SALARY OF THE SHERIFF OF SWAIN COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The first sentence of Section 5 of Chapter 678 of the Session Laws of 1951 is rewritten to read as follows:

"From and after July 1, 1963, the Sheriff of Swain County shall receive, in addition to the fees of his office, a salary of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective on and after July 1, 1963.
