AN ACT RELATING TO THE NOMINATION AND ELECTION AND TERMS OF OFFICE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PERSON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 188 of the Session Laws of 1961 is repealed.

Sec. 2. After the expiration of the terms of office of the present members of the Board of County Commissioners of Person County, the board shall consist of five (5) members nominated and elected as herein provided.

In the primary and general elections in 1964, and biennially thereafter, there shall be nominated and elected five (5) members to the Board of County Commissioners of Person County. The voters as a whole shall nominate and elect the above board members.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
