HOUSE BILL 362

AN ACT RELATING TO PER DIEM AND MILEAGE OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF ORANGE COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 153-13 of the General Statutes as amended by Section 2 of Chapter 281 of the Session Laws of 1953, is hereby further amended by deleting the words and figures "ten dollars ($10.00)" and inserting in lieu thereof "twenty dollars ($20.00)", and deleting the words and figures "seven cents (7¢)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "ten cents (10¢)", and by adding to the end of the 1953 amendment the following: "The chairman of the board may designate meetings requiring attendance of members of the board and upon attendance of such meetings by members designated, such members shall be entitled to the per diem and mileage herein authorized."

Sec. 2. This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after its ratification.
