HOUSE BILL 1109

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE TERMS OF COURT IN ONSLOW COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. That portion of G. S. 7-70, as the same appears in the 1959 Cumulative Supplement to the General Statutes, which fixes the terms of Superior Court to be held in Onslow County, is amended by inserting, following the semicolon after the word "cases" and before the word "the" in line 8 thereof, the words "the sixth Monday after the first Monday in September to continue two weeks for the trial of civil cases only;"; and by changing the period to a comma, following the word "only" in line 9 thereof, and adding the following words: "the second week for non-jury cases only."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
