HOUSE BILL 1241
AN ACT TO INCREASE THE LENGTH OF THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE JUDGE OF THE DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT OF GUILFORD COUNTY FROM TWO TO FOUR YEARS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. The length of the term of office of the incumbent Judge of the Domestic Relations Court of Guilford County is hereby increased from two to four years. At the end of his term and quadriennially thereafter successors shall be appointed for terms of four years. In case of a vacancy in office, the same shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
